There are various spoons that can be clapped. Most suitable are wooden spoons that are not too flat, but instead form a nice hollow body which creates a better sound. The spoons pictured have somewhat wider or smaller handles, whereby the wider are best for the grip with the thumb and small finger and the smaller for the grip with the ring and pointer fingers.  |

Yvonne Hunt writes in her publication Traditional Dance in Greek Culture (1996, p. 135), that the spoon dance can also be danced nowadays, clicked with little glasses. |
