| Holding the Spoons |

Video
The spoon is placed with the shovel down and towards the palm of the hand creating a small hollow space. The handle points upward and is held tight with the thumb.

The little finger sets up the new sound-box.

With the handle facing upward, the second spoon is now placed with the shovel facing outward between the middle finger and the ring finger.

The middle finger and the ring finger now hold onto the shovel and can thus move this spoon well. It is important to hold loosely and hit the upper spoon with the lower spoon pressed to the palm of the hand.

The pointer finger remains loose, extended; it is not directly involved in the movement.

Hold the wrist straight when moving and clapping the spoons against one another; don't snap as that causes pain and cramps.

The arms are extended forward and form a slight downward arc from the shoulders. Don't let arms and wrists sag as that blocks the movement; stretched out also looks more elegant.
