| Hands and Feet Together to the Music |
The melody does not repeat the percussion rhythm, but it can be recognized in the background. The spoons supplement the music while the feet can let themselves be carried quite simply by the melody.
Practice alternating the spoon percussion with music and stepping with music, to make both physical movements automatic. Then gradually attempt the combination.
Don't hop too forcefully (think about the open-back sandals).
Attempt to hold the tempo and rhythm steady.
